Excerpt from Introduction:
“I pray that I am able to impart to the reader my firm belief that earth is specially made for us. We are special to God, our existence matters, and we dwell within a closed system. The laws of physics point to a God who created a special dwelling place for us. We are not here by happenstance. We are not evolved, the earth is young, and the nature of this realm is that of a plane, enclosed with bounds, as it states in scripture. This topic can be off-putting, so I pray the reader tackle the issue with an open mind. May we never miss His important truths, that He set out before us to assure us of our importance.“
We live on a flat plane. Bottom first disappearance is a function of angular resolution, refraction, and how we perceive light. The Bible describes the nature of our realm, but the world twists it and turns things upside down, as was prophesied in Isaiah 29:16.
Contrast the two theories, and understand which one relies more on scripture, and which one defies it.
Globe theory: The earth’s cosmology is known and Earth is a sphere within the emptiness of space. Earth rotates on an axis, and orbits the Sun, where the Moon reflects the Sun, and the Sun/Stars are distant and bigger than earth. Up and down are relative.
Flat Earth: The earth’s complete cosmology may be unknowable, but Earth is flat, enclosed with bounds. The Earth does not move, the Sun orbits the earth, the Moon is it’s own light, and the Sun/Stars are projections of light, smaller than earth. Up and down are definite.
(Remember the Bible interprets the Bible. Repetition requires emphasis. According to scripture, just 2-3 witnesses** are needed to verify a thing, and in the case of cosmology, we have numerous cosmological constants that describe our dwelling place)

If still skeptical after examining the above scriptural descriptions, and believe ships disappear bottom first because of curvature, the following video may be enlightening. This phenomenon has nothing to do with the curvature of earth. At the very least, these common occurrences must be ruled out before any curvature can be ruled in. Once one realizes there is not evidence of the curvature of earth from land based observation, one must resort to believing pictures from space agencies. But pictures are just that, pictures. They do not represent reality. They can be fabricated or modified.
This video describes a practical example of bottom first disappearance across a reasonably flat surface (a pond with limited refraction in temperature equilibrium with the air). It describes the consequences for assuming that bottom first disappearance is due to curvature.
A worldly description of earth and its surroundings can be contrasted with the Biblical description of earth and its creation. Upon realizing the backward, upside down nature of the world which is presented to us, such a description is all the more understood.
